![]() ![]() It really leaves a bad taste in my mouth. You dont just suddenly kill it for everybody without any warning and say it was a mistake THIS WHOLE TIME for the past year or so. But I could no longer just get a 5 code printed out on my receipt. He did say for example, I could buy a 10 card/code and only pay 5 for it (using my 5 monthly powerup reward). This membership can get you loads of great benefits, including a 10 welcome coupon and a. Gamestop should have honored this $5 off digital currency for all existing subscribers but made it clear, from now on, new subscribers couldn't get that Perk. Today the employee told me that starting in February 23, you could not just buy 5 of Microsoft or Nintendo currency without something else (no mention of Sony). PowerUp Rewards Pro Membership: For 14.99 a year, you can join GameStop’s PowerUp Rewards Pro program. They just wouldn't let anyone else sign up for it. I still had Gamers Club for nearly 2 years AFTER they cancelled it. HOWEVER, this was used as a reason to sign up, I talked about it every month I went in there, and they said the $5 coupon each month was why a lot of people had plus, and they saw those people each month, just like they saw me.Īt least when Best Buy ended their Gamer's Club Membership, they honored all existing subscriptions and services until your subscription ran out. Turns out they were marking all orders as filled(despite not having the merchandise) and then making customers come into the store for their money back for the items they fake filled). They will keep the positive numbers rolling, despite not being aware of the negative impacts it has on their stores overall. Managers will do some shadey shit to make their metrics look good, and they absolutely WILL NOT tell higher ups about it. A store manager/employee saying shit and advertising loop holes to meet their metrics doesn't mean the company as a whole wants or supports that and it's very clear that they don't since it's now been cut off just a month after it made the rounds on the internet. ![]()
